How Can We Keep From Singing!

Moving Forward

We have resumed in person rehearsals, abiding by all CDC and choral protocols. Currently we use a parking garage, where we are setting a new standard for learning how to rehearse and sing while minimizing risk in this pandemic environment. Windshear (Michael Bussewitz-Quarm) and Welcome Table (Saunder Choi) are the featured works for this semester and are commissioned by NHMC. Our goal is to record and produce a video of these works in November so we can share them with our audience, in lieu of live performance. Spring 2021 and beyond are still in the consideration phase, but as we all know Dan, there are projects in the pipeline.

As we enter our 18th season, NHMC is navigating the way forward through the global pandemic. The pause in live performing gives us a moment to consider just how much your support has meant to our mission for almost twenty years. We are grateful beyond measure.

The “intermission” of 2020 has also given us an opportunity to consider not only what we do now but also what steps we will take to ensure a sustainable, and diverse future. What does the New Hampshire Master Chorale look like in 10 years, or 20? We are thankful for this time to pause and pivot. And now, more than ever, we need you to be part of our organization.

Where are we now - Where are we going?

Together we are moving into the future, with a vision of sustainability, and continued mindful impact in our community. Your generous support gives us what we need to be agents of change.

  • We want to be innovators for presenting the highest quality choral music that will make a lasting impact on our community at large.

  • We want to collaborate with composers, musicians, and other arts organizations to continually cultivate the arts in New Hampshire and New England.

  •  We want to build an endowment that ensures the future of NHMC and its mission.

Reflections from the Chorale
